Suggested Itinerary

A few hours in Bendigo

- Meander through the streets and laneways discovering boutique shops in View Street, Bath Lane and Bull Street (allow up to 3 hours)

- Pop into the Bendigo Visitor Centre in the heart of town for maps, local books and great souvenirs including Bendigo Gold nuggets! (30 mins)

- Enjoy a leisurely stroll browsing Bendigo Bookstores - new and second hand - don't forget Bendigo Visitor Centres book collection of local authors (allow up to 2 hours)

Full Day Option 1

- Discover the Artisans of Bendigo with a brochure available from the Visitor Centre and travel to the various studios and galleries around Bendigo.  Enjoy one off designs, making great gifts whilst also meeting the artist at work. (60 mins to 4 hours)

- Explore the locally famous Bendigo Hat Shop, who has a connection with royalty! (40 mins)

- Looking for something quirky then Bob's Boutique and Gallery is a great place to start (30 mins)

- Enjoy the opportunity to explore Bendigo and nearby Markets.  A great way to find local produce, arts, crafts and bric-a-brac. (weekends only - allow up to 2 hours)

Half Day

- Pick up a shopping and dining guide from the Bendigo Visitor Centre for the best shopping experiences in Bendigo

- Discover rare, unique and collectable antiques as part of the Bendigo Antiques Trail (allow up to 3 hours)

- Rediscover your creative side when visiting the numerous art and craft shops with the Bendigo Arts and Crafts Trail (allow up to 3 hours)

Full Day Option 2

- Opportunity knocks!  Explore Bendigo's Op Shop Hop self guided tour providing Bendigo's best kept vintage shopping secrets (allow up to 3 hours)

-  Take a different route home, travel through Heathcote and explore the many main street shops featuring local produce and gifts.  Make sure you don't miss Cellar and Store as well as Mount Ida Lavender at Ladys Pass!

- Stock up on treats for the ride home.  Explore Bendigo's sweet shops including Bendigo's Chocolaterie!
