Train to Bendigo

With reduced fares and increased services, it's easy to get to Bendigo by train - the express service is just under 90 minutes from Melbourne.

The new VLocity trains are sleek and smooth and a perfect way to sit back, relax and enjoy the landscape. From Melbourne there are 20 services a day midweek, 15 on Saturdays and 12 on Sundays. You'll pass through Gisborne, Macedon, Woodend, Kyneton, Malmsbury and Castlemaine, so you might just need to plan a longer trip!

With connecting services from Mildura, Echuca, Swan Hill, Maryborough and Daylesford we really are the centre of Victoria.  The V/Line Daylink service between Adelaide and Melbourne stops in Bendigo daily.

Arriving in Bendigo, the Bendigo Station is just a 5 minute walk into the city centre where the fabulous restaurants, unique shopping and heritage streetscapes await.   However you can also catch any bus into the centre of town and step off at Mitchell Street - just let the bus driver know if you are not familiar with Bendigo.  V/Line ticket also provides free travel on the Bendigo bus network for the same day that you have caught the train.
